ACTIVITIES
Snare Sweep -
This is an activity where the volunteers accompany an armed park ranger, for half a day in searching a portion of the national park, by foot, for home made hunting traps made from wire, called snares.
These snares are usually put up by people looking to sell game meat (game refers to wild herds of herbivores)
This is an activity where the volunteer accompanied with a Dew Claw tour guide on safari, in order to document the behavior & numbers of wild animals in & around the national park. Elephant human conflict in Livingstone is leading cause of death for elephants & humans living by the national park. Creating knowledge in the community about the behavior & patterns of wildlife they live along side, especially those that can be dangerous to them.
These are a series of projects where our youth create their own fundraising campaign (by producing a choreographed video featuring dances & recycled art made by them), in order to purchase machines for processing plastic waste into building materials.
This is a series of project where our youth translate & illustrate books from online sources for the use of the community.
